Santa Elena Ranch - Madisonville, Texas
Santa Elena Ranch was established in 1959 in Houston County, Texas, by Dr. Vicente Lecuna. The foundation herd was 250 registered Red Brahmans bought from the Fondren Estate herd. In 1970, Santa Elena Ranch made the VL branded cattle available to Brahman cattlemen in the United States. Alfredo and Josephine Muskus have been involved with the management of Santa Elena since September of 1984 and became the sole owners, assuming direct management, in May of 1991.
